A Processor Alliance for Cocoa Traceability and Sustainability

CEMOI, BLOMMER and PETRA FOODS (Delfi brand), signed a joint venture
agreement to develop an ethical, premium quality, cocoa production alliance in
the Ivory Coast.
The new organisation is called PACTS (Processors Alliance for Cocoa
Traceability and Sustainability), and will invest 2.3 million Euros in the
country. The alliance was initiated by CEMOI, France's No 1 chocolatier, and
will bring together these three family controlled groups to improve the quality
of locally grown cocoa, through the adoption of a sustainable development
strategy. |
